I have had an on again/off again relationship with Monster Magnet. This relationship started with 1998's Powertrip and the song "Space Lord." I have recently gotten back into them due to this site and my ever-growing love for stoner rock/metal.

This particular track is a super fuzzy version of the Grand Funk Railroad original. They ditched the acoustic opening of the original and turned up the overdrive and fuzz. Not to mention added some tambourine and the cowbell during the bridge between the verses. Overall, a very nice cover that does the original justice. I highly recommend the rest of the album, too.
